After discussing what may happen, students trace a sketch using the pantograph. After securing the frame to a smooth surface using a suction cup, students position the arms and predrilled holes to scale up the drawing 1.5, 2, 2.5, or 3 times the original size. They work together to calculate the scale of the drawing, while older students also discuss angles and calculate the difference in area between the images.
 
Pantograph frame is made of lightweight wood and only 1/4" thick, keeping it lightweight and easy to manipulate. Fold the frame for easy storage between use. Individual Kit includes 1 frame (13"L x 4"W x 1" thick; 1/2 lb), 8 markers, and lesson direction that is adaptable for grades K-4 and 5-8.
